Change is the one thing we can all count on in the complex world of consumer electronics. In fact, during our 20 years in the industry, the rate of change has dramatically increased. We created Fluxus (latin word for flow or continuous change) as a different type of firm. With a laser-focus in spotting technology and market changes, we empower our partners to craft technology into the home.
Fluxus is owned and operated by Chad Robertson. Chad is well-known in the industry, having spent 20 years working in home automation, controls, and audio/video in the Northeast. He began his career as a college-aged AV geek selling home theater at Tweeter. He then spent 13 years on the distribution (AVAD) and rep sides of the business. Seeing the pace of change accelerating in the field and wanting to be plugged-in directly at the manufacture level - to better understand training, support, and product development - he transitioned to the vendor side, working for Savant and Legrand. Throughout these experiences, Chad has acquired widespread industry knowledge and expertise, but above all has seen the importance of empowering his customers to adapt and change. His business philosophy is based on three core principles: lead with a consultative selling model, focus on a cohesive group of brands, and be a true extension of the vendor, knowing the product lines just a well as in-house employees.
Natural and artificial lighting control are one of the most rewarding purchases many homeowners make. Just ask anyone who has lived with motorized shading or lighting control if they can live without it. LED lighting has gone mainstream and the energy saving benefits of these devices are adding-up. The quality of light from many replacement bulbs or improperly specified static white fixtures can leave a lot to be desired though. Talk to us about the benefits of high quality LED-based recessed and linear that can literally be “tuned” to your environment. And if you want to beat the winter blues, ask us about solutions to replicate natural sunlight in the home.
We are truly in the golden age of television. The “small screen” is commonly 65” in most homes. Cinematic content has never been easier to access. Help your customers get the best experience with uncompressed full bandwidth 4K HDR at every tv in their home. With the added benefit of tiling (see side image), sports aficionados, political junkies, and gamers can easily get the most bang for their buck, displaying any source (Apple TV, Roku, Comcast, DirecTV, Xbox, outdoor camera feeds) in multiple orientations on their screens.
We all have millions of songs at our fingertips with services like Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, and Sirius XM. Our distributed audio solutions make it easy to get your foot tapping, queue-up a favorite podcast while cooking dinner, or fall asleep to calming music.
Whether it’s walking into your home and clicking on a “welcome” button or calling out to a voice assistant to open living room shades, easy to use control is key in a modern home.
Right sized hand-held remotes, slick scrolling wall mounted touch screens with intercom or APPS for iOS and Android are all available to be personalized to your customer’s needs. Create scenes to start their favorite playlists, turn on task lighting, open the shades, and set the room temperature to their favorite level.
